DAN SHEPHERD began his radio career at Bush House in 1995. His first feature programme, Fishing for Doubters, was broadcast a year later in the BBC World Service Omnibus‚ slot and was subsequently rebroadcast on the ABC's Radio National. 

He has since gone on to produce a variety of unusual and critically acclaimed programmes for BBC World Service, including Indian Pacific‚ in 1997, Lilliburlero‚ and Aboard the Yakada Yaka‚ in 1998, two music series called Don't Touch That Dial‚ in 2000 and 2002 respectively,  and Blockbusters, Burgers and Blue Jeans‚ in 2003, subsequently rebroadcast in Canada and Australia.

Recent productions for BBC Radio 4 have included Land of Ghosts, Dreams and Goblins‚ (with Julian Mayers) in 2002, NocturneSteel Pan Alley, and Nothing's Gonna Change My World (with Alan Hall) in 2003. The Case of the Missing Burbot‚ was broadcast on New Year's Eve 2004.

Dan is also an experienced trainer. He's devised and run courses for both BBC World Service and for domestic radio, and has taught radio at the London College of Printing.
