New Commissions for the BBC World Sevice

22 May 2009

Falling Tree has been commissioned to make a number of new programmes for the BBC World Service in 2010.  Alan Hall will celebrate Stevie Wonder's 60th birthday in a retrospective of his work called 'Master Blaster', and the Kitchen Sisters will be returning with a story about Stevie's mother Lula Mae Hardaway, that includes previously unheard recordings of Lula Mae herself.  In 'Ganga Ma: Voices of the River', Katie Burningham will make two programmes exploring the River Ganges for the strand called Heart and Soul, and in a two-part series called 'The Listening Post' we will enter the worlds and experience the lives of people whose claim to fame may be small but who nevertheless have a story to share.
