New York Festivals

Hark! An Acoustic Archaeology of Elizabethan England has been awarded both the Gold Medal for Best Sound at the 2009 New York Festivals Awards for Radio Programming and Promotion and the festival's Grand Award for Best Sound (selected from the gold winners).  The programme, produced by Chris Brookes, Paolo Pietropaolo and Alan Hall in versions for both CBC's Ideas and BBC Radio 3's Sunday Feature, was also a finalist in the History category.  It's Chris's Battery Radio production for the Canadians that has received these awards, as well as the Prix Marulic!
