Chicago Sound Drops

The Third Coast Festival premieres a sequence of short radio pieces they've commissioned about Chicago, the festival's home town, at a special Listening Room event on 2 December. Alan Hall was among the producers invited to contribute a 'Chicago Sound Drop' and he's interwoven the words of Studs Terkel with the sounds of the El and music by Chicago pianist Jimmy Yancey. These 'Sound Drops' will be put to all sorts of uses, including broadcast on WBEZ's re:sound in the new year.
