Ray Borowski
2 March 2012
We've just learnt of the death of Ray Borowski,
one of the Marines who shared his experiences in Vietnam and after in a
pair of programmes that we made in partnership with Loftus Productions back in
2003 and 2004.
Ray, the recipient of four Purple Hearts during his service in Vietnam and subsequently a Hell's Angel, was actually a very gentle spirit. As a tribute to Ray, we've put these programmes up onto our
website in our audio gallery.
Lance
Corporal Baronowski's Vietnam tells the story of a young
Marine killed in action in November 1966, expanding upon the 'Lost and Found
Sound' story by Christina Egloff and Jay Allison, 'The Vietnam Tapes'.
Life After Vietnam followed
the stories of Mike Baronowski's comrades through the remainder of their service
and beyond to the point at which his tapes were rediscovered.
